Friday, June 09, 2006 ::: THIS HAS TO MEAN SOMETHING... First match of Worldcup 2006. Not a football (or should I say soccer) fan myself, but Worldcup is something I don't like to miss. "Hosts Germany opened the 2006 FIFA World Cup™ finals with an exciting 4-2 win over Group A rivals Costa Rica in Munich on Friday, 9 June 2006... " pretty much sums up the opening match. With a little bit of luck, and a rather glorious last goal, its a good kickstart for all Germans I think. Poland vs Ecuador at 3am - I don't think so. I'd better get some sleep. Funny facts: 1. My doc asked me if I'm gonna watch worldcup. I said yes. He said he will too. Then he suggested that I should watch the worldcup, get some sleep, and get to the ward later, say like after 10am. Said he doesn't mind. I dig that. 2. I actually look like a 27 year old. I hope that's with my tie and shirt that's so out of fashion plus my tired face and my sterm look and... you just can't force too much excuse into a sentence can you. There are upsides to this, I guess. 3. Dessert buffet is good. But dessert buffet replacing dinner is a bit insane. Lychee and ginger is a good combination. (Happy birthday Stephen!) 4. You can actually get an air ticket at a ridiculous price a day before departure. That's actually quite amazing. And a guru like me (oops sorry the real guru is this) didn't actually believe that until today. Christina Aguilera - Ain't No Other Man (Premier at Movie Awards) You got soul you got class... Well, not a big fan of this song but this is something I approve. Much better than her Dirrty stuff. Updates! The Modern has new songs up their myspace titled Seven Oceans. It's nothing as cool as 'Industry' or 'Jane Falls Down' but still listenable and quite danceable. Gosh I'm quite sick of the male vocalist's sound - I think they should just have 1 vocalist only and please don't let the bloke sing. He's ruining everything.
